Product Description
Our 304 and 316 stainless steel coils are versatile materials used in metal fabrication, architectural products, industrial equipment, transportation, food processing, and many other fields.
Our stainless steel coil range covers 200, 300, and 400 series materials, including 201, 202, 304, 304L, 304H, 316, 316L, 309S, 310S, 317L, 321, 410, 420, 430, 431, 440A and 904L.
Both cold rolled and hot rolled stainless steel can be supplied. Cold rolled products are available from approximately 0.3 mm to 16 mm, while hot rolled material can be supplied in thicker gauges according to the required specification.
Different surface options are available for industrial and decorative purposes, including 2B, 2D, BA, No.1, No.4, No.8, Hairline, brushed, sandblasted, checkered and 8K mirror finishes.
In addition to standard coil supply, we can arrange decoiling, cutting, punching, bending and welding according to the customer's processing requirements.
Metal products used outdoors or in industrial environments may be exposed to moisture, chemicals, temperature changes, salt, abrasion, and other environmental factors.
A suitable stainless steel grade can help manufacturers address these conditions while maintaining the required appearance, mechanical properties, and processing performance.
However, there is no single stainless steel specification suitable for every application. The choice between 304, 316, 430, 310S, 904L, and other grades should be based on the actual working environment.
The surface finish is also important. A decorative building panel may require an 8K mirror or Hairline finish, while industrial fabrication may prioritize a practical 2B or 2D surface.
Our stainless steel coil supply program provides different material and finishing options for customers with varying requirements.
Customers can select from:
- 304 / 304L stainless steel coils for general fabrication and construction
- 316 / 316L stainless steel coils for applications requiring enhanced corrosion resistance
- 200, 300 and 400 series grades
- Hot rolled or cold rolled production
- Thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 16 mm for cold rolled material
- Widths from 500 mm to 2000 mm
- Customized coil dimensions where applicable
- 2B, 2D, BA, No.1, No.4 and 8K surface finishes

Stainless steel coil is frequently processed into facade panels, decorative sheets, elevator panels, roofing components, interior panels, railings, doors, and building accessories.
For projects where appearance is important, BA, Hairline and 8K mirror stainless steel provide different visual effects.
Stainless steel coils can be further processed into equipment housings, machine components, tanks, panels, brackets, covers, and fabricated industrial parts.
The selected grade depends on the required corrosion resistance, strength, forming characteristics, and service environment.
Selected stainless steel grades can be used for medical and laboratory equipment where corrosion resistance, durability, cleanability, and surface quality are important.
304 stainless steel is widely used in food-processing equipment, commercial kitchens, sinks, storage containers, work surfaces, appliances, and related products.
316, 316L and other specialized grades can be considered for certain chemical-processing applications. The final grade should be selected according to the specific chemicals, concentration, temperature, and exposure conditions.
Stainless steel can be found in various railway components, vehicle parts, conveyor systems, fasteners, springs, equipment components, and fabricated machinery parts.
Selected stainless steel grades can be used in marine-related components and equipment where the material must withstand humid or corrosive surroundings.
Polished and textured finishes can be used for interior decoration, elevator surfaces, kitchen panels, furniture components, wall decoration, signage, and architectural products.
The key feature of stainless steel is its ability to form a protective surface film.
Chromium contained in the alloy reacts with oxygen to create a very thin chromium-rich passive layer. This layer helps protect the steel underneath from the surrounding environment.
The performance of the passive layer depends on the stainless steel composition and service conditions.
In 304 stainless steel, chromium and nickel provide a useful combination of corrosion resistance and formability.
In 316 stainless steel, the addition of molybdenum improves resistance to certain forms of localized corrosion, especially in environments containing chlorides.
Other alloying elements are used for different purposes. For example, grades such as 310S are developed for high-temperature applications, while 904L is a highly alloyed stainless steel intended for particularly demanding corrosion conditions.
Cold rolling and surface finishing then determine characteristics such as thickness accuracy, surface appearance, reflectivity, and suitability for further fabrication.
The first step is to identify the service environment.
- 304: General-purpose stainless steel for a broad range of applications
- 304L: Low-carbon alternative where welding requirements are important
- 316: Higher corrosion resistance for selected demanding environments
- 316L: Low-carbon 316 for applications involving welding
- 309S / 310S: Considered for elevated-temperature service
- 321: Used for selected high-temperature and welded applications
- 430: Commonly considered for decorative and general applications
- 904L: High-alloy grade for demanding corrosion environments
Cold rolled stainless steel coil is generally suitable when surface quality, thickness consistency, and dimensional accuracy are important.
Hot rolled stainless steel is generally selected for thicker material and applications where cold rolled surface characteristics are not required.
The correct dimensions depend on the final product and fabrication process.
Consider the required:
- Sheet or component thickness
- Coil width
- Cutting dimensions
- Forming method
- Welding requirements
- Final product weight
Our available width range is approximately 500 - 2000 mm, with customized sizes available depending on the material and production requirements.
The surface finish should match the final application:
2B is a common industrial finish, while BA provides a brighter appearance. No.4 and Hairline are popular for decorative applications, and 8K mirror stainless steel is used where a highly reflective surface is required.
For specialized products, checkered, sandblasted, brushed and other treated surfaces can also be supplied.
If the coil will be processed after delivery, specify whether you need slitting, decoiling, cutting, punching, bending or welding.
Providing these requirements during quotation can help determine the appropriate coil specification and processing arrangement.
304 stainless steel coil is widely used for construction, kitchen products, food equipment, machinery, decoration, and general fabrication.
316 stainless steel coil is often considered for applications where better resistance to certain corrosive environments is required, including selected chemical, marine, and industrial applications.
They serve different purposes. Cold rolled stainless steel generally provides better surface quality and dimensional control, while hot rolled material is commonly used for thicker products and applications with different surface and processing requirements.
2B refers to a commonly used smooth cold rolled stainless steel finish. It is widely used for industrial equipment, kitchen products, construction components, and products that may receive additional processing.
Yes. 8K mirror finish is available for selected stainless steel grades and thicknesses. It is mainly used where a bright, highly reflective surface is required, such as architectural and decorative products.
For an accurate quotation, customers should normally provide the grade, thickness, width, surface finish, quantity, coil requirements, processing requirements, destination, and preferred trade term. Customized specifications can be evaluated based on the project requirements.
